Evan’s Info!
I graduated from Occidental College in 2005 with a B.A. in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in neurosciences.
After graduation, I went on to attend Pacific Oaks College where I received my M.A. in Human Development.
I wrote my M.A. Thesis on what students with learning disabilities (and their families) should expect when transitioning from high school to college.
For practically my whole life I’ve known that I have learning disabilities - such as dyslexia and ADHD. While my own special learning styles had made higher education difficult; my personal learning disabilities also enabled me to understand how different people learn in general. Being learning disabled myself, I know how difficult it can be... but I also know how rewarding graduating from higher education is!
Now, I want to use my personal background as well as my educational experiences to help students both with and without learning disabilities find and transition to their perfect colleges. The transition experience can be difficult, but I can say without a doubt that it is extremely rewarding!
